The Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color are two of Nintendo's most beloved handhelds. Both have incredible game libraries. But which one is better? Let's break it down.

Graphics

The GBA wins here easily. It's essentially a portable SNES, with 32-bit graphics, mode 7 effects, and smooth animations. The GBC improved on the original Game Boy with color, but the sprites are still 8-bit.

Sound

GBA has significantly better sound. Stereo output, CD-quality music in some games, and the ability to produce complex sound effects. GBC had improved sound over the original, but it's still chiptune.
