How to Save Your GBA Game Progress in Browser

Step-by-step guide to using save states in browser-based GBA emulators. Never lose progress again.

One of the best features of browser-based GBA emulators is save states. Unlike the original hardware where you needed a battery-backed cartridge, browser emulators let you save your exact position at any moment.

What Are Save States?

A save state is a snapshot of the emulator's exact memory state. It saves everything — your position, health, inventory, and even the frame of animation. This is different from in-game saves, which only work at save points.

How to Save on EggerMath

1. Start playing any game on EggerMath
2. Click the Save button in the toolbar (or press F5)
3. Choose a slot (1-10) — slots with timestamps already have saves
4. Click Save on the slot you want to use
5. Your progress is saved to your browser's local storage

How to Load a Save

1. Click the Load button (or press F7)
2. Select the slot with your save
3. Click Load — you'll be back exactly where you left off

10 Save Slots

EggerMath gives you 10 save slots per game, just like PPSSPP. This means you can:

• Keep multiple playthroughs
• Save before boss fights
• Try different choices without losing progress
• Share saves with friends
